Make the technical basis reviewable before the next commitment.

Technical decisions are often made from incomplete evidence, inconsistent models, immature drawings, or optimistic assumptions. Independent review should identify which conclusions are well supported, which are sensitive, and which require additional work.

ONB evaluates technical claims, process and design basis, models, scale-up readiness, engineering packages, economics, risk, and operating performance, then translates findings into prioritized actions.

Independent review should change the decision—or increase confidence in it.

ONB distinguishes material issues from minor observations, connects each finding to evidence, states the consequence, and recommends a practical action or condition. The goal is an actionable technical judgment rather than a long undifferentiated comment list.

Can the review remain independent if ONB also performed earlier work?
Independence and potential conflicts should be defined at the outset. ONB can review third-party work independently or provide an internal quality review of its own prior work, but those are described differently.
Can ONB review a project without complete access to all files?
Yes, but limitations are stated explicitly. A staged review can begin with a data room index, management presentation, selected models and drawings, and targeted interviews, followed by deeper review of material issues.
Does ONB provide a simple pass/fail opinion?
Usually a graded conclusion is more useful. Findings can be ranked by materiality, evidence strength, readiness, and required action, with clear conditions for the next decision.
Can due diligence include economics as well as engineering?
Yes. ONB can review whether CAPEX, OPEX, throughput, yield, scale, utilities, product assumptions, and sensitivities are consistent with the technical basis.
